Stan Berry is the creator of Writing and Speaking to Get Things Done and the heart behind everything we teach. His journey began as a kid, sitting in the back of his dad’s business writing classes and watching professionals wrestle with unclear writing rules. Even then, he knew there had to be a better way.
After graduate school at Yale, that curiosity grew into a mission. Stan wanted to create a simple, universal set of principles and models that would help any organization write clearly — no matter how technical the content was. Over 50+ years, that mission turned into the WGTD program used by tens of thousands of professionals every day across every industry.
Fun Fact:
Stan loves jazz and blues music and grew up watching western movies with his twin brother. Stan is the second generation of Berry Writing Group.
